How to Choose and Hang One
- 1. Two thirds the console. Mirror width about two thirds the furniture below it, with 6 to 10 inches of wall between them.
- 2. Center at 57 to 60 inches. The center of the glass, measured from the floor. Over a vanity, 60 to 65.
- 3. Point it at a window. Opposite or perpendicular to natural light. Never facing a blank wall.
- 4. Round softens, arched lifts. Round for entries and small vanities; arched or rectangular on long walls and doubles.
- 5. Two anchors, always. Anything over 20 pounds goes into studs or toggles rated for double the weight.

- How big should a full-length mirror be?
- At least 60 inches tall and 20 inches wide for a true full-length reflection. Leaning is fine on a wide wall, but anchor the top to the wall if there are children or dogs in the house.
