The Inspiration
A little piece of the island, hand-finished by us.
The ACK Scallop Heart began the way most of our favorite pieces do — on a slow, salt-air morning after a walk on the beach, a pocketful of scallop shells, and the quiet thought that Nantucket deserves a keepsake that feels as handmade as the island itself.
Each sign is hand-cut from solid wood, painted in coastal sky blue, and finished with hand-lettered ivory ACK type and a real Nantucket scallop shell — foraged, cleaned, and set by hand. A jute rope hanger completes it. Because every shell is different, no two signs are ever exactly the same.
It's made to be hung the way heirlooms are — on a mudroom peg beside the beach bag, above a slipcovered bench in the entryway, or over the guest-room bed where friends stay when they come to the island.
